To celebrate this dedication, a brand new entry to the series is currently being developed for the Playstation Vita and just got announced today. It is scheduled to be released next year in 2015. This title doesn't have a name yet but is to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Saga Series. I will update this thread as I hear more about the upcoming game.

Check out the news story here with some artwork: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archi...-2015.aspx

Just to update on you guys on the new Saga game for Playstation Vita, it is now called Saga: Scarlet Grace. It was unveiled last year at the Tokyo Game Show. They haven't talked much about it since, but it is still slated for release this year in Japan.

You can watch the TGS trailer and bits of information here: http://www.technobuffalo.com/2015/09/21/...le-system/

Meanwhile, Square Enix is releasing Romancing Saga 2 in English for the first time on mobile devices (Android, iOS) next week (May 26). Though it's on mobile devices, it is still good news that Romancing Saga 2 has finally got an official translation with enhanced graphics, new dungeons, new game +, and much more. For $17.99, I think it'll be easy to dive into the English version of the game. Let's hope they will release it on the Playstation Vita after the mobile exclusivity runs out.

Check out Romancing Saga 2 on the official Square Enix site here: http://www.jp.square-enix.com/romasaga2/en/

RE: The Saga Series
That's cool, especially about RS2. But, lets hope these make their way to at LEAST Steam or XBOX Live/PSN. I just cannot do mobile gaming, no interest.

What do you think about using an Android emulator on PC to play games that don't get released anywhere else? I've tried it several years ago. At the time, Android emulators weren't compatible with the latest games because of the Android OS version (worked fine on older games though). But I'm sure it has improved since then. I'm not sure about iOS though, never tried it.

RE: The Saga Series
I think iOS is catching up, but android is probably a lot more compatible.
The last time I tried it was some time during the last year when I was relatively new to FF: Record Keeper (I still play it and it's still a nice little game every now and then, you only have to log in once a day to get your daily mythril and you can actually get some things done without paying) and it was a lot easier for a friend of mine to play his save on his computer because he had an android phone while mine runs with iOS. I couldn't get my save, but maybe it also has advanced in a positive way. A lot of emulators got really good during the last years like PS2, Wii and so on. I'm pretty sure that XBOne and PS4 will still take a looooot of time until they can be emulated in a decent way, but maybe the 360 or PS3 are ready for some decent gaming.

RE: The Saga Series
I would be interested in trying an emulator for Android or iOS.

If you love Kenji Ito's music then you'll love this arrangement album of the Romancing SaGa games.

In case anyone wants to order it...

RE: The Saga Series
I now have an official reason to buy a PS Vita. I'm probably going to buy 3 of each of these and we all should too to prove to Japan and Squeenix that these old non-English translated jRPGs are highly sought after even ~20 years or so later.
