I. Just. Bloody. Died.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

There better be a physical copy. Bouncy Seiken Densetsu 2 (aka Secret of Mana) is in my top RPG list of all time right behind Final Fantasy IV.

RE: Secret of Mana Remake
By the way can you edit the topic title to have a [PS4/PS Vita/Steam] prefix? Wanna keep these releases tagged with the appropriate system for easy reference.

From another site

"No word on a physical edition for North America, but Japan is getting this"

Also, Ps4 and PC versions will have 3 player online

Wow! I want that bundle but I'd settle for a regular physical copy. I might even try and get the Japanese release to go with my North American release. Good to see they are using both Seiken Densetsu 2 and Secret of Mana titles.

+1

I will too. In fact if it even comes out on the Switch I'll probably get that too. Need to show Squeenix that this is the stuff the consumer wants.

*edit*
People are already complaining about the "chibi" style graphics. Who cares, I know the music, story, and presentation will be brilliant and that's all that matters. I should stop reading internet comments on stuff, waste of my brain power.

That still makes me made that this is the only ff6 port we'll likely ever get and it we won't get it remade in that awesome engine they made for ff3/4

I wasn't a fan of the 3D stuff on those. Really disappointed in FF4 DS actually--in fact I haven't beat it and stopped playing after a few hours. I'm sort of happy FF6 didn't get that treatment because I would of never bought it. I really wish they'd properly remake it using a more modern style format like Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey style.

God only knows what they'll eventually do with CT--though I secretly suspect they won't do anything CT related until they are on the brink of bankruptcy.

RE: [PS4/PS Vita/Steam] Secret of Mana Remake
apparently the ds version of CT sold so poorly it's basically a dead series now.

Personally, I absolutely loves FF4ds. the difficulty and remastered soundtrack especially.

It sold so poorly because people wanted a real remake and not a re-release. I doubt that game or series is dead, I honestly believe Squeenix will save that for a rainy day.

The soundtrack to FF4 DS was ok but I didn't like some of the instrument sample choices and it felt a bit empty on some tracks. Better than almost any other DS game but sadly, that's just about all I liked after the added story elements they took out of the SFC/SNES release it apparently had.

Big sweetness! LOL. Grin Well, I'm going to pre-order as soon as it is available to do so. Similar to you guys, Secret of Mana is also one of my favorite Action RPGs of all time. Plus, it being a remake is also very cool. February 15, 2018 will be a great day.

I don't normally get multiple copies of a game. In this case, I might have to get both PS4 and Vita versions if they have physical editions in the U.S.

I don't think North America will see a physical release. I'm with you if they do and even getting the Japanese releases as well. If it is digital only in North America (and Europe) then I will get the digital release here and buy any Japanese physical release because the artwork is just so beautiful.

Digital only. I'm going to wait to find out if there will be a western physical release. If not then I'll get the Japanese physical release and then the digital western release.

It is blasphemy that there might not be a physical western release. The artwork is absolutely stunning with this game and it would be a damn shame to not have it for display. I'd likely get an acrylic case for it for display on my game shelves once I build them.

FYI, pre-order/order the Japanese physical release here:

I'm half tempted to cancel my Ys Origin preorder and get this one instead.

If we don't get a physical, western release, it shows that the majority of people in the west don't care about physical copies, which I already know about since the 1990s. That's why you would see people throwing away their games boxes and stuff as soon as they open the game here in the west. Either that or they lose it in a pile of junk somewhere in the house.

As you know, the Japanese always gets the best artwork and releases. Because they know that a lot of people treasure and collect video games over there. There are a ton of game stores in Japan that cater toward collectible games and memorabilia. The culture over there is a world of difference.

Back to my point, I'll do the same by purchasing the Japanese physical copy if there won't be a physical, western release. I will follow up by purchasing a digital copy just to play.

Do you know if that Ys Origin version is in English language and not just English subtitles?
