As many of you know Final Fantasy Mystic Quest gets a bad rap from people that either it is too easy or it is for children. Well of course both of those are wrong. The game wasn't easy, but it wasn't difficult either. And come on it isn't for children, it has a good story and keeps you entertained throughout the entire game. NOW I've gone and made the game more challenging.
The Main point of this HardType mod is to provide the same enjoyment as the original with some sprinkling of more challenge and some extra content here and there.
Right now the game is in beta testing stage 2, where the mod only goes through the first dungeon up until you get the first crystal. After that the game is normal...well a little easier due to the stat changes.
There will eventually be two versions of the hack. The first version will include everything except for the new/remixed music and item/character/enemy names, while the second version will include everything. I will do it that way simply to please the purists and the people who like the new content.
NOTE: Again this mod is only done through the end of the Fossil Dungeon. After that it WILL be easier.
You will need a V1.0 US release of the romfile with a header.
